Edward Jones This is a Turnstyle Album.

It's fuzzy, it has light and fun moments, it has moments that are quite cheesy. It has melodies that you'll be singing tomorrow. It has synthesizers, and Casio auto accompaniment beats on it.

It's has everything you actually want in an album from a band that's had such a long time between releases.

It doesn't repeat history, but is itself the natural progression for musicians who haven't stopped being musicians over the last 13 years.

I'm home! Favorite track: Throwing Axe.

about

Turnstyle's third album Time Equals Function - Marching through familiar and undiscovered sonic lands, loaded with familiar fuzzy distortion, Casio chords and shouty vocals.

Returning from an extended hiatus, Turnstyle immediately began creating new music soon after two high profile shows in 2013. They reignited their unique creative wizardry to record Time Equals Function, 12 new Turnstyle songs recorded throughout 2014/15. Losing none of their DIY aesthetic, honed in the 4-track era, the band recorded and self-produced the album. Turnstyle sought Andy Ramsey (formerly of Stereolab) to apply his armoury of analogue tools, mixing and mastering the album at Press Play Studio in London.
