There are four songwriters in TURNSTYLE, with a plethora of riffs and melodies floating around in various states of development. Plain and Simple was in an extremely crude form. A single electric guitar playing alongside a drum machine. No melody. No lyrics.
The potential recognised, it evolved quickly from its primordial form into the anthem of social commentary that now stands before you. This one has guitars. Which guitar solo to use? Well, we recorded two. Put them both on at the same time. Why? Because we can do whatever we want. The perks of independence!

References to social media, vicariously competitive sports parents, middle Australia’s favourite flavours disappearing off the supermarket shelves? We’re not 25 anymore but we can still sing about what we “don’t” want. Right?
